LOST: Season 6

I am a big LOST fan. I am completely in love with the story, characters, twists and turns. If you have never seen it I HIGHLY recommend it. Anyways, this blog is going to be about retention rates. You see, I never could watch a show week to week. No matter how compelling I would get bored with it. However, I have instant netflix which streams movies and tv shows directly to my tv. I love this feature. LOST seasons 1-5 became availble last summer and I managed to watch them all in the matter of a few days. and yes, I do know how sad that is.

I used to be a big Heroes fan. The first season was awesome. After that season I had to wait to see more Heroes episodes as they weren't availble on Netflix instantly. Eventually the show came on instant netflix and I tried to give it a chance but I had just lost interest and couldn't get it back.

Anyways, what I wanted to get across but also wanted to hear from you guys was how good is your retention rate when you are watching shows? Is there anyone out there who can keep interest on a week-to-week basis? Also, any shows you want to recommend?

  1. I have all 4 seasons of the O.C. on dvd. My freshman year of college, my roommate and I watched all 4 seasons in the matter of 2 weekends, haha. But that is like the only show I have never missed an episode of. You'd think I would like Chuck and Gossip Girl, since they have the same creator, but I just can't get into them. TV today is just boring. However, I have recently gotten into the new show on MTV: The Buried Life. It is an interesting concept; the whole 'what would you like to do before you died?' gets you thinking.

And for Lost-- I watched the first season. Then tried to watch it the other night, I was so confused. I had to turn it off half way through cause it was giving me a headache. :/

  2. A LOST fan! yes! I am completely hooked on that show. Which is irregular for me. I also could never commit to watching a show every week, scheduling, and lack of interest came into play. Ill even admit, when LOST first came out, I couldn't get into it because I would miss an episode or two and have no idea what was going on. With Netflix and online access, I caught up, and became interested again. Now, I make the time every week to watch the show. (and last episode was amazing! ) I probably wouldn't have been interested if I didn't have the option to watch the show on my own time. Nobody really sits down as a 'family' one night a week to watch a show together. Everyone has different and busy schedules and wants to do things on their own watch. So its great that television has finally given in to the internet and allows us to watch the shows whenever we want!

also-you should watch Always Sunny In Philadelphia if you dont already, and I highly recommend "Summer Heights High" if you like sarcastic humor!
